"Hi Trish, the photo that you have looks like a Cape river frog which needs shallow water to breed, the leopard toad needs a deep pond to breed, if you find tadpoles in shallow bits of water around your garden then you can leave them there as one…"

Hi Trish, the photo that you have looks like a Cape river frog which needs shallow water to breed, the leopard toad needs a deep pond to breed, if you find tadpoles in shallow bits of water around your garden then you can leave them there as one pond can only sustain a certain amount of tadpoles. What I've done in my garden is place my kids old sandpits underground so that it's level with the ground, put a few rocks for exit points and water plants under a shady bush and each of these are home to one or two frogs. Good luck!
