21/10/09: Exciting new breeding pond found!

Well done to our newest breeding pond in the heart of Noordhoek (Fransisca lane) for producing WLT tadpoles for the first time ever! Quite interesting as this is quite a shallow pond but this area is much cooler and there are lots of waterplants and plenty of shade!
Watch out for the November/December migration if you live in this area!

Hi Suzie - this is great! What a beautiful pond. The taddies in our pond at Marina da Gama are doing well too ... they look about the same size as the ones in your photo. There's lots of algae in our pond, which seems to be helping to keep the water shaded and cool, and is providing lots of food for the little chaps. Will send a photo when I get organised!
